Bowling Biomechanics

Biomechanics of BowlingBiomechanics is the study of movement and physics as it applies to biological systems. In this case, biomechanics is about the forces, angles and velocities of body as it delivers a bowling ball.

Using biomechanics, you can make measurements to analyse bowling technique, measuring such things as joint angles and segment velocities, which can be used help optimize your bowling technique.

Measuring Angles

An understanding of the angles made by your arms and legs during the bowling delivery can help you fine tune your technique. There are many software programs available that will do this for you, or at least make it very easy for you to do. Otherwise, there are ways of doing it yourself using video analysis.
